Crack on windshield
I recently got a small * (star) shaped crack on the middle of my windshield from flying debris on the highway!! DAMN!!
The good thing is that I my insurance plan will cover it completely with no deductible. My question is - should I get the windshield replaced or repaired ?? I read that small cracks can be repaired by injecting some sort of resin.
The thing is that my TSX is only 6 months old and I hate even a small blemish on my otherwise flawless car! So I would prefer a complete replacement of the windshield. Does anyone know if doing that will hurt my car's resale value? Will it go on my CARFAX history too?? If yes - what would it say?
Has anyone had a similar experience? Did your insurance premium go up after that? FYI - I live in Philadelphia and I have State Farm.
Also, is there anything as ACURA CERTIFIED windshield repair shop or just anyone? How do I know if they fixed it with the right/good/acura quality windshield?
Any thoughts/comments would be appreciated.
