CPO vs. Non CPO question...

I've been looking for a used 07-08 Acura TL Type S, I want the WDP w/ Black interior combo. All the CPO cars I'm finding have the Taupe interior, which I don't find appealing. I located one with low miles and looks to be in excellent condition, but it's at a Honda dealership so its not certified. My question is since the car has 31,xxx miles and is still covered under the factory warranty, can I purchase a Acura Care extended warranty on it? Also what is the advantages to buying CPO vs. Non CPO???

I have always had a thing about purchasing used vehicles from their respective dealerships, but I don't really have a reason. I just wanted see how other people feel about that. Thx

Contact an Acura dealer and ask about buying an extended warranty.

CPO = you are paying for an extended warranty.....nothing more, nothing less.

You can always purchase an extended warranty on any car.

Agreed ^

I never trust any CPO cars anymore after my buddys TSX had 15k+ worth of body damage done. Then he traded it in only for the Acura dealer to turn around and sell it as a CPO! Yikes.

A TL is a Honda, really. So I bet the dealer could do the services w/o issue.

Get the car checked out and go from there.

A CPO just has a shorter warranty period built-in with the price. You can buy the Acura Care extended warranty until the factory warranty runs out (which I believe is 50,000 miles or 4 years). You have a choice of different lengths of time and deductibles, too, if I'm not mistaken.
