Codes 1298,1399,and a few more.1999 Acura
Just inherited a 99 Acura from my son in law who was not real great about maintinence.Car was running fine.History as I know is 123,000 mi. Timing belt replaced at98,000,trans rebuilt at about 115,000.
Has been running well till yesterday and TCS and Engine light came on.Missing a bit especially at low speed and at stop. Went to Autozone and pulled 1399 1298 300, 301, 303,304,305,306 .Searched the threads and found EGR info.Took the valve off and cleaned port.(It was not too dirty) I did not remove manifold yet.Replaced plugs.Sprayed carb cleaner in throttle body.Restarted and it sounded better although rough idle to 1800 when it smoothed out beyond.
When I pulled the plugs all looked fairly lean except #1 that had a bit of oil though not sooty.
I realize I need to continue cleaning the passage in the manifold, but the #1 plug puzzles me.
Could it possibly be in addition, a coil pack throwing these other codes? What about the ELD?
