The car has the original motor & transmission. No rebuilds on either.

That's very impressive, I do a single drain/fill of Honda DW-1 ATF ever ~20-30k miles in our 2003 Pilot with 272k miles (original transmission).

Note to self: buy automatic TSX when looking for a long lasting DD.

Everyone talking about the bad trannies, I always thought it was just the J-series V6 engines that had the shitty transmission. The TSX doesn't use that engine nor transmission so probably less of an issue, no?

Supposedly the TSX 5-sp slushbox is pretty good. Better than the J-V6 trannies like you said, in their application.
But 500k good? I wouldn't have expected that. Surprising in a good way though. Although, it might just be that OP has one of the statistical anomalies. But I'd like to think not.

Meant to ask. Since you use the TSX for work does your company pay for maintenance of the car or just pay mileage?

I actually own the company, so technically, yes, the company pays for maintenance. But I do get to write off the mileage. Have been for 11 years now on the same car. I think it's up to $.55 a mile or something close to that. So the car has paid for itself several times over on just the mileage write offs.

Null and proud of it

Post a pic to their facebook account. A guy with a 1,000,000 received a new truck from Toyota who tore his old one down to inspect it.
