I think I am going to get the 3rd gear TSB finally done on my 06 Civic Si before powertrain warranty is up, I am at ~54K miles. I figured while the transmission is out I should change out the clutch, even though the original clutch is not slipping. I do not have any plans to boost or anything just need an OEM quality clutch. Would the Exedy OEM replacement be a good replacement?:

and would I be able to keep the stock flywheel with that?

Looks like it could save me about $100 over going OEM and doesn't Exedy make some if not all Honda OEM clutches?

If you're planning on sticking with OEM build, why not just stick with the OEM clutch assembly and upgrade to the Type-R flywheel from overseas if it is lighter weight. (just so you get the OEM build quality).

I did this on both my Integra's when the clutch needed to be replaced by simply going with the Type-R flywheel on my GS-R.

Where would I go about buying a Type R flywheel?

Sorry for the late reply. You may want to try some of the vendors here on AZ they may be able to help you with that; but since a Type-R Civic is not available in the states, you may need to do some searching online.

I'm not too familiar with the latest model civics and their compatibility with models from across the sea so be sure to check compatibility.
