I would like to see this in person.

New article but we had a post on this a while ago: https://acurazine.com/forums/showthread.php?t=14110
I'm not too confident in bose making suspension components but innovation is good.

I'm skeptical as well about Bose......they don't do audio well at all; it's all smoke and mirrors, so why should we beleive it will be any different when it comes to suspension

The speakers are also not large enough to warrant large currents. It's the midrange and woofers than need the slugs of current.
So for full sound reproduction, the Bose Acoustimass series are very sub-par. However, in a non-music environment like Home Theater they are usually just okay. That said, there is no substitution for a traditionally styled tweeter/midrange two/three way setup. Especially for the fronts/center.
Now one of the advantages of the Acoustimass is fairly decent sound from a VERY small size. For their size, the satellites produce best-in-class sound.
For all of these solutions, the Acoustimass system is also the most expensive. If you have the room, go for a two-way system. I picked up my Polk 7600 series and Polk PSW505 used for $700 total. Not the most detailed system, but fairly musical and good for home theater. The sub is especially nice, although a 12" is way oversized for my apartment living room.
Your receiver looks good on paper. Good wattage, pre-outs, ample inputs, DTS-ES and Dolby EX decoding. I always find Yamaha's to be a bit overly bright through in my subjective opinion. That said, it's WAY oversized for the speakers you're running.
The real problem stems from not Bose itself, but the OEM crap they put in cars. They're horrible. Even look at our TSX...Pioneer speakers are usually decent in a car...the ones we have are nearly one-way paper cones with a magnet the size of a half-dollar. The Polk EX365's I put in were eurethane, true two ways, and had a magnet the size of a tea cup saucer.
Oh, and I'm not touting Polks, it's just that I get them for 67% off from my Dad's Circuit City accomodation discount. Roughly about 20% under eBay prices.
