Ha ha...
See if you can find what they copied and pasted from escrow.com

http://www.escrow.com/solutions/business.asp
I am sure there are more, but this was the first one I checked.

this is a pretty elaborate scam... and I really pitty those who fall for it and lose thousands of $$'s... these scammers should be put behind bars and it all has to start with the user communities reporting these incidents to the authorities... As these scams get better all the time, if you don't personally for it, someone you know will..
Astro, you should capture the IP headers from the emails and send it along to the appropriate parties..

The problem is that today in the internet age, these criminals are all over the world. From Indonesia to Bulgaria, so it's hard to bring them to justice. You just need to be careful when it's sounds to good to be true.

But you can certainly do your part and shut those sites down... that (at least) puts a dent in their plans... if the domain registrars and the hosting companies cooperate, they can bring down a site like this within hours..
I don't even think any fraud victims have held these entities liable for the money they lost

What would a VIN# prove?
In less than 30 seconds, I was able to search and find a valid VIN# from a 2003 M3.

Definite Scam. Good job guys.
This guy is an idiot, because he priced the car too low, thus automatically placing a doubt into the mind of the buyer.
If he would've priced it at say 44-46k range, then there would be less people wondering because the price would've made sense.
Oh well, stupid criminals, so what else is new.

Bigpimp,
This guy is not an idiot.. he/she have planned this carefully and the car is priced low so it attracts impulse buyers (I.e: "A deal of a lifetime...not to be missed")... he/she know what they are doing and I can assure you that many have already fallen for this or similar scams.. some will admit it, and some wont.
