Cayman S vs Elise vs Z06 ?

I would have to go with the exige. I don't like porsche but thats just my opinion.
Corvettes are like butt holes...everybody has got one. Not exotic at all. Might as well be driving a 500hp cavalier. (no offense corvette owners)
I would have to go with exige if you fit comfortable in one. I'm 5'11" 160lbs and that was the best feel and funnest car to drive IMO.
It has real world street performance/looks that you can use anywhere (handling, performance, and styling)..and looks exotic as hell.

Erm...I'd say
ZO6 > Cayman S > Elise
I would have to drive the ZO6 and Cayman to justify which one I would pick, but I would personally put the Elise at the bottom, no doubt. Again, I guess I can't say much since I haven't been in an Elise either, but I hear the car is really made for tracking and whatnot. I hear that the ride is not suitable/comfortable to joy ride in.
Just some things I've heard.

That's what I keep saying. He's gotta get the Cayman S though. It's a loss of power either way coming from the M5, but the 245hp form a base Cayman won't keep him happy for long and then we'd have another thread.
I'm starting to think that Nokiaman and Crazy Acura are the same person. He's just using 2 screen names to keep us from knowing how bad the car addiction is.
It's OK we're here to support you. The first step to recovery is admitting you have a problem.

About 90% of people i see driving vettes look like they have zero intelligence. (which is a bit strange, considering the car is a smart buy for the $$)
Again, no offense.

I think I would rather have a used 911 than a new Cayman or Boxster but, that's just me. IMHO, if one is going to do the Porsche thing then the 911 is the way to go no matter which generation it may be.

If you have ever driven a Cayman or a Boxster, you'd know that it is very much a "real" Porsche. It is a relatively known fact that the Cayman was held back in tuning to not outshine the 911 in terms of performance.
The next generation of Caymans should be moving to a direct injection engine and could very well out shine the 2008 Carrera S in acceleration and handling.

Right... but the Boxster is not on the list of cars he's looking at... therefore, his only open top option of the three he listed is the Elise.

For some reason, I see quite a few Elises out here (no Exiges- which is a good thing since the damn thing is just plain ), but very few Caymans, and I much prefer the looks of the Cayman over the Boxster and Loti.

I wasn't one myself either. You only have to drive this little mid-engined Cockster to discover what it truly is. Feeling the manual gearbox run under you going back to the engine placed behind you is pure sexual feeling.

You know how much I love my skinny ass buttressed in and carressed. OK, sorry that sounded really ghey. White cayman s looks tits! I redlined a cayman s and it sounded like a buzzsaw going through a norfolk pine. In fact, part of the reason I went 911 was it seemed a little more refined and civilized. I'll be the first to admit for daily driving the cayman s is more than enough vehicle

Despite the reputation the 987(in particular the S models) are brilliant cars to drive. The Boxster's reputation as a "Porsche in panties" is not accurate like it was with the early 986.

The 2.5 liter cars were horribly underpowered but the balance was still phenomenal. You could still have a lot of fun with them, you just had to work harder to drive it fast and there's quite a bit of satisfaction to be had doing that.

Mid-engine layout is well-balanced no doubt.

My choice would be Elise > Cayman S > Z06. Both the Elise and the Cayman S have their pluses, but the Z06 really only has raw power. The interior is absolute garbage in the Z06 and since interior is more important to me than horsepower numbers, the Z06 comes in dead last. Think about it...when you're driving you're constantly feeling and looking at the interior... but how often do you get to use all of that power? Although the interior in the Elise is nothing to brag about, it's still a lot better than what the Z06 offers.

Check out the slalom numbers of a Boxster. One of the best handling Porsches behind the Carrera GT...
People who talk shit either A) Never drove one or B)Can't afford one even at their entry-level price point...

I usually vote for option "A". There are plenty of cars that I have driven but can't afford that I will talk shit about. Anyone who denies the performance of these 2 hasn't experienced them.
