Cats off of car???

Ok, I'm going to try this one again. Does anyone know how to keep cats off of their car? And no, I'm not going to hurt them, I don't want to move next to a chinese resturant. In other words helpful repies would be great.
Thanks

Sprinkle chili powder (the hottest stuff you can find) around your car on the driveway. It irritates cats feet and they won't walk on it.

You need a lot though, you need to order 5lbs or so from an online wholesaler.

You could try something called a scat mat. Its basically a big mat that has a bit of electricity going through it. We use it to keep the stupid Dalmation off the couches. They are relatively inexpensive, and can be bought at like Petsmart. Its just a little shock, enough to be startling, but not hurt them.

Is this outside or in your garage? (my cat shares the garage with the cars)

I personally just put covers over the cars, nothing worked on him.

Tabasco sauce and pepper powders are commonly used by gardeners to keep mice, rats, moles, and cats out of their gardens.

Wouldn't that just attract the Mexicans from across the border?

I too hate driving to work looking through a windshield pattered with catprints.

Surround your entire driveway with dug-in catnip.

Well yeah... but they do a hell of a job with the landscaping, and I can teach them not to walk on the cars.

Someone told me to sprinkle the chili powder ON the car. U can imagine why I'm hesitant to do that. Any thoughts on that?

I took a fitted bottom baby crip sheet and set a couple mouse traps on it right at the spot where the cat jumped up .. lost a couple traps .. and the cat lost interest.

If its one cat .. trap it and get it back to the owners to deal with .. next time trap it then take it out of town ..

I had a problem cat and I made a trap out of a small pet carrier and did the above.

lay some regular newspaper on the car; tape it down if you have to with harmless scotch tape. The sound of the crinkling paper when the cat walks on it will spook/annoy it and it will stop going up there.
