The 05 G35 auto is 280Hp and the 350z is somewhere around there too, id be hesitant to think that those cars would be an easy win for a type-S

why not the gs400? those are tanks and yeah their 0-60 times are lower than ours but thats all due to traction... we would take them out.... well I know I have...

R32's are not that fast a 350Z track edition could take one.

You guys are on crack. 350zs are faster than G35s and esp SE-R Altimas. There was just a thread on my350z.com about people thinking the G35c is faster. 1.) it's a couple hundred pounds heavier 2.) 10hp less for the older ones. The new ones don't have 298hp and almost the same tq, it's 298hp and 260tq, so it's basically equal to the other engine tuning.

Same thing with the GS400 - unless you are going at it from an 80mph roll, it's not as quick (high 14s) as it's GS430 cousin - which IS quick - 13.9 stock and it's murder from a high roll.

Also, WRXs aren't that fast and from a roll are dog shit slow. Their STi cousins aren't that great on the highway, a modded WRX isn't any better. If you can abusively launch an AWD car like that, it's not that great unless heavily modded. So are we talking stock here or what? Cuz your list is all jacked up. And are we talking from a stop or from a roll? If a roll, then some of those heavier V8 sedans will suprise you too, even if they can't get it going from a dig.

I agree with the Camaro as well. LS1 will smoke you. Perhaps you meant auto LT1?

DUH...not many GT-Rs in USA...i saw one in person at HIN and at a drifting event jan 8th (got pics to back up!)

and i got no idea why you guys keep saying to toy around with a g35 or a 350Z...they both have 0-60times of 5.6-5.7 (vs tl-s' 6.2) and 13.9-14.0 1/4miles vs 14.5 on your tl-s

eh. then again CL-S6 times are more like 5.9. to those who do have 6 spd. and then when you consider CT headers and other little things, it could be a very good match

i'm not sleeping on or down playing the R32. in fact a stock auto cl-s should get worked by one.

my car vs. a stock R32 would be a good race. if i raced a modded one i would have to use nitrous.

this whole thread is just silly IMO. i mean, don't mess w/ an R32 or GS400, but have fun w/ a 350Z? the thread starter is confused.

GS300...Ive attcually taken those in my TSX...so um yeah, but the GS430...thats got a 8...dont know how fast that one is...my dads old LS430 0-60 wasnt as good as my TSX, but it would defenutly take on the high end...that thing could smoke the tires no problem

gs400 is a high 14 sec. car, looks like the gs430 is more like a 14.0 car.

I blew away one of the GSes...guessing since im in a TSX it was the 300, but backroading and the guy was tailgating me...slowed down to almost a stop, then peeled out, got way infront of him on the strait, kept it up in the turns...pulled into a driveway then came out after him flashing my lights, scared the shit out of him, and drove away...im such an asshole

GS400's on average are in the mid 14s with the GS430 only a tick or two faster.

From what I've seen, the GS400 seems to be a bit quicker than the GS430 (for whatever the reasons)....despite the larger motor in the GS430.

i was going off what car-stats had posted for the gs430. they had motortrend test results of 13.9 @ 103

it did sound awful quick for that car.
