Nothing like this in Wisconsin either. Over here it's your typical 60's and 70's classic cars only, shown by their 60 and 70 year old vintage car owners with Beach Boy music blaring in the background. Not having year round warm weather doesn't help.

That is definitely an awesome car show

Yeah, when I lived in Chicago there wasn't a lot going on. Maybe three months a year people took their vettes out.

Austin, on the other hand, has some great driving roads nearby so you see the occasional awesome car in the right neighborhoods.

I'm not sure exactly, but it was at SEMA. It also has 565hp (It's a HPA car). 0-60 in 3.2 seconds. I believe HPA imported 10 to it's shop in Canada, 10 miles from the US border.

Yup this is Coffee and Cars Houston. I think it used to be in the Uptown park area, but for the last two years (atleast) it's been at vintage park (off Loueta @ 249). 110 Vintage Park Blvd. Houston TX 77070

Possibly. There's a DFW owner with a Focus RS that runs Mexico plates. Car is rarely seen out, though.

Even closer. I'm just south of the Woodlands.

Except the next day we dropped into the 20s. Something like a nearly 60* swing in around 24hrs.
Had a nice sheet of ice on my car this morning & was walking around in shorts just 3 days ago.

Steven, I think that takes Texas out of the places you would want to relocate...

I guess California and Florida are the only 2 options left...

It sucks, but this bi-polar weather is pretty abnormal, in the Houston area at least.
Typically, we're nearly into summer by now.

there is a saying in the midwest, "if you dont like the weather, wait 15 minutes"...the shitty part is "if you like the weather, it changes in 15 minutes" LOL

yeah am not a fan of bipolar weather as well, but IMHO, I think the midwest (KC/STL) gets the best weather (leaving CA and FL aside)....I cant handle tooo much heat (above 100degs) and we dont get that kind of weather (not for much atleast). We get like a week (2 max) of 100 deg weather....Winter starts around Mid November and ends Mid March (4 months) out of which, its super nice for atleast a month or so...so a total of say 4 months of bad weather....

with TX, you see 3 months of 100 deg and 2 odd months of winter...so total of 5 months of bad weather....

with that said, the house prices and everything, I would move down to TX in a heartbeat LOL

It's one of the 30 XKRS GT's produced. One of my favorite cars ever.

Instead of posting the rest of the ~50+ photos, I'll just post this slideshow thing. You click on the arrow marks on the left and right to go through the album. Contains Veyron/F40/F50/458 GT2/S7/288 GTO/Squadra Corsa etc... Material

<iframe src="https://www.flickr.com/photos/77563743@N05/13830130155/player/" width="800" height="452" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen webkitallowfullscreen mozallowfullscreen oallowfullscreen msallowfullscreen></iframe>

Yeah, I think I'm going to make a trip down to Houston next month for this.
It's definitely worth it. But, if your coming all the way from Dallas I'd wait a bit until the next larger one. The Veyron/F40/F50 usually don't come too often, and they announce it a few days ahead of time on their FB if they're any coming. I'd reccomend going to Supercar Saturday as well which occurs after C&C ends.

I have to give some sort of notice to take a Friday off. If not, I'll have to leave at like 2-3 in the morning.

What's the link to their FB page?

It was my first time seeing a 288 GTO, and it was amazing. My second favorite behind the F40.
