Carfax help? Used car help?

Hi, im looking to buy my first used car, but im having trouble figuring out the carfax. The car is 80,000km and has no accidents or claims and 1 local owner.

DATE LOCATION DATA SOURCE TYPE OF RECORD
06/19/2010 DELTA, British Columbia, Canada Motor Vehicle Dept Canadian renewal
09/11/2010 DELTA, British Columbia, Canada Motor Vehicle Dept Canadian renewal
09/03/2011 DELTA, British Columbia, Canada Motor Vehicle Dept Canadian renewal
09/08/2012 DELTA, British Columbia, Canada Motor Vehicle Dept Canadian renewal
11/26/2012 VANCOUVER, BC, Canada Service Facility Service record (15,000km)
09/07/2013 DELTA, British Columbia, Canada Motor Vehicle Dept Canadian renewal
09/06/2014 DELTA, British Columbia, Canada Motor Vehicle Dept Canadian renewal
09/12/2015 DELTA, British Columbia, Canada Motor Vehicle Dept Canadian renewal

Does Canadian renewal just mean renewing insurance? And should i be worried that they only did 1 service to a 7 year old car with 80,000km? Might mean the previous owner did not do regular oil replacements. Also i am buying this car from a legit acura dealership and it has been inspected and passed by the Acura mechanic. Should i still bring in my own mechanic?

Thanks guys

FYI, Carfax isn't 100% complete or accurate. Use it as a guide/starting point and not as the be all end all for car history.

Previous owner(s) could have done maintenance himself which could explain why there's only 1 service entry. It's not hard to change the oil and filter, rotate tires, change brake pads and rotors, change blinker fluid, etc yourself.

Another example: car could have been in a minor fender bender and owner repaired/replaced damage part himself or paid out of pocket for repair instead of going through insurance which could then report accident to Carfax

Those "renewals" are likely the annual registration, rather than insurance.

Which tells you almost nothing. If what you posted is the extent of the Carfax, you can probably ignore it because that doesn't really tell any story.

Putting eyes on it firsthand is the best bet.
