Seems like I have read on here before it is not OK to ask for carfaxes, so I hope this is cool.

Found a free app on slickdeals today that will give you a free carfax until March, 1st.

It's called EveryCarListed and can be found on the app store. Click on carfax in the app, enter an email address (I use my spammable-subscribe-to-whatever-email-address), click view carfax, view excerpt, click view carfax again and your carfax opens in Safari.

It's cool. Pulled on one my car.

This is fine to post b/c you're posting good info on where people can get info about their cars (and you're not asking someone to run a CarFax for you).

I'll have to check the app out. Unfortunately I do not need to pull a report by 3/1... but maybe I'll run one for fun since it's free

Good find. Pulled one on my car. You should definitely use a spammable email address for this, and a phone number you're never at.

I didn't even have to wait through email.. it just pulled all the info straight to the app.

but yea.. used a disconnected land line and fake email lol

Yup, that's what I did. I sure hope some poor chap with a phone number 2 digits off from mine is not getting 'cold called' over this.
