Car you wish you still had........
Couldn't find anything similar to this thread when I did a search, so I thought it may be an interesting topic.
Tonight I was up in my shop moving around a bunch of stuff. During this time I would come across a part I originally purchased for a car I had in the past. Each time a flood of memories would return as I remembered the specific car. When I bought it. Why I wanted it. And eventually why I sold it. Each part was for something, and even though I don't have the car any longer, I just can't seem to get rid of the part. And I suppose I'll be thinking the same thing years from now as cars come and go.
What was the car you WISH you kept? Why did you sell it? Ever try to find it after it was gone?
The car I regret selling the most was a 1964 Pontiac Parisienne Safari station wagon. Gold exterior. Tan vinyl interior. 283 with a two-speed Powerglide transmission. It was purchased new by my grandfather, sold to my father, then sold to me. Sold it in the late eighties when I had too many projects and lost interest in it. It had 60 000 original miles, original paint, and the original carpet was covered since it was new.
What was yours?

My 05 TSX 6speed/navi.
I even part out all my parts to my buddy... It's truly sad to see my parts on his car. TSX should be gone within week or two, also in market for new car, until then I will be rocking on my 240sx.

The only car I wish I hadn't sold actually wasn't mine. It was my dad's 1979 V-8 CJ-7 with a 3 speed manual trans. He wishes he hadn't sold it in 1986 either. Man, I wish we still had that thing, an absolute workhorse, and totally indestructible. It was a sprint car push truck for several years, and never missed a beat. Awesome.

WOW...my 1st car...a 1967 Chevy malibu 2 door hardtop with a 283 and a powerglide... all original, except paint... Mom sold it while I was out of the country for a month b/c my Aunt and Uncle said it was taking up too much space in the yard since I had another car... LOL at me!

I haven't owned many cars, but have no regrets about selling any of them. Although I continue to appreciate certain features of prior cars, I tend to look forward to the replacements.
Ironically, I really like my 3G TL now, and am having little luck finding a more appealing replacement-- it's probably the one car I would miss if I sold it.

I had an '88 Accord that I miss. Hit a nasty patch of black ice during a January Nor'easter I got $3000 out of it, not bad considering it was over ten years old at that point, it was in immaculate condition before the accident.
The Prelude makes up for it though.

I had a Dodge Ram pickup truck... (the first year when they went with the "Mack Truck" look)... I kinda miss it. Nothing fancy... but just good ol' work truck I use to just throw whatever in the back, and when friends were moving, I'd be the first to offer to help.

I think the vehicle I miss the most is my old Chrysler LHS. I bought it in 1997 (1995 model), and drove it all over Europe. From Venice to Helsinki, that car was great, and a hell of a conversation piece.
Hell, in Sweden, I ran across some guys who had muscle cars (70' Challenger, 72' Dart, etc...). One of the more surreal scenes of my life was seeing a large grouping of American muscle cars outside the US, and they were in shock seeing my big ass Chrysler.
Good times....Gooooood Times.

My first car was a 67 Pontiac LeMans I got in 89. I spent dozens of hours rebuilding that car along with my dad. It was beautiful but about it couldn't stand up to the rigors of college commuting. Everyone would always ask "is that a GTO?" My parents had a black Trans-Am during the Smokey and the Bandit craze. I wish I had that. They also had a gorgeous 69 427 Vette that they traded for a van w/no AC around 1977. That car is worth a ton today.

Car: 05 Acura TSX (Automatic)
Reason: Traded it in for my 05 G Coupe (manual)
It would be nice to have a four door FWD automatic again for certain days, but driving a manual RWD in the summer makes up for it...

My 04 TSX, which is kind of a catch 22, the reason I traded it in was because a bad synchro they were up in the air about covering - otherwise I would have probably kept the car. It was far from the fastest car on the road, but its balance of ride and handling(with a few mods) made it a pleasure to drive.

I miss my 2000 Accord EX-V6 Sedan (black ext., quartz interior) and my '91 BMW 3 Series Coupe, black on black. I traded the Accord for an '04 EX-V6 with navi, I sold the BMW which was totaled within 2 months of the sale

2000 E46 328i-My first bimmer... Sold it to a friend of mine. It's still running strong today at 175 000 kms and it's in a stellar condition. I drove it the other day and was blown away but how new, solid and quick it felt after all these years.

i have 2 cars i wish i'd never sold!
My first car i saved every penny for through my childhood and my first couple of jobs as a teenager. In 1998 i bought a 1966 chevy impala off of an old lady for $2000. 4 door candy apple green with 164k on it. I put a cd player in it, did some motor work with my father and a interior. I sold it for $7000, and bought a 1997 Trans am WS6 for 16k in 1999. Now i loved my TA, but man i wish i had kept that other car
Then i bought an all black 1998 Dodge Dakota R/T 5.9 extended cab in 2004 with 20k on it. Tinted the windows, gibson exhaust and k&n intake. Paid 10k for it and sold it for 13. I only owed 7500 on it. I figured someone would talk me down a few grand or more but the guys just saw it and bought it. It only had 48k in 2006 when i sold it, and the guy totaled it a month later!

First car was my moms '87 Iroc-Z, my dad bought it new and it became my moms daily before it was handed down to me in high school.
The good: interior had been redone right before I got it, t-tops, it had flowmasters and I put a loud ass system in it, exterior was very nice and had 1988 Iroc's, chick magnet when it was running.
The bad: engine needed a major overhaul for more power, it was a 5.0 305ci with auto, needed new tires all around so spinning out took almost no effort.
If everything works out I'll own anther one as a project/weekend car, but with a 5.7 and manual.
