After trying to figure out how I could increase my knowledge on cars, it occurred to me that I could read a book on them

It's something which I sadly did not think of until a few weeks ago. So, after some searching around using Google, I found this excellent book on manual transmissions on Amazon:

I highly recommend picking it up. So far I'm only two chapters in, but it's a great way to learn about the terminology and engineering behind manual transmissions.

So my question to you guys... Do you guys have any recommendations regarding car reading material (such as books or online articles)? Perhaps this thread would be an excellent place to collect information like this as it's pretty uncommon otherwise.

 

Variety of sources for me.

In terms of books, shop manuals are a good start, especially with your own car. Another would be some sort of study manual for being a mechanic. They'll teach you basic principles and physics involved, not just 'how to fix' with 1-2-3 steps.

www.hondanews.com is great for reading about your own Honda and Acura.
