Insurance is much less expensive, 4T40E GM transmission is solid, and 2.2L Ecotec engine is extremely easy to work on and offers lots of low-end torque. Fuel Economy is easily 32-34MPG on the HWY.

I guess you missed the part where I said it had to have a manual transmission.

And come on a former rental Chevy Classic?

i had a tc - traded that for the tsx. Its an awesome car and for the money, it cant be beat. 16k for brand new with manual. It has the mp3 stereo, reclining seats, sunroof, rear seats fold and since its a hatchback you can fit a lot of stuff in there. The 2.4L 160 hp engine is very peppy and adequate. Seats are comfy. Back seats have more room then most sedans i've sat in, almost as much room as my tsx. if you have any questions about it, feel free to message me - my aim is KPYTOBNY. Oh and also, I changed into the TSX because its more refined and I wanted the navi and the comfort of an entry-luxury car.

nice forum

She has a '04 Passat now that was handed down to her by her parents because they were having problems with it.

Not to mention they filed suit against VW because the seat heater malfunctioned (would not turn off and kept getting hotter and hotter) and burned the back of her mom's legs pretty badly while she was on the NJ turnpike (couldn't stop and get out till the next rest stop)

Perhaps an 03 Mazda 6?

My friend got one in 2004 with about 5K miles on it for 18 (it is loaded minus the V6) and he has had zero problems with it. At the time, he got it for $18K but now, I bet you could find the same car for about $15K.

Or the tC.. I LOVE my friend's tC. It is a really really great car for the money.

That's the option if you want to get out of the relationship, because she'll certainly break up with you if you suggest that

Yeah forgot about the Manual option...

In that case, I'd get a 5-spd Getrag manual Cobalt Coupe...for about $11K.

And exactly what's wrong w/ a GM...

what about an 03+ accord coupe ex 4 cylinder? my cousin bought a brand new one for like 18 out the door when the year was about over....except his was an SE...alloy wheels, CD, bucket seats, spoiler, just no sunroof. i didnt look at how much they are used, but i would assume they would have dropped to at least 15K by now. i think it looks pretty nice in white, and it would last a long time...
