Car ideas for around 25k????

Hey guys just in case the RSX gets totaled I am wanting to get some ideas on vehicles. I didnt want to do a poll, so just throw me some ideas.

I really want a new Mustang GT, but there seem to be a few problems going on with that car...

Also been thinkin WRX, Accord Coup(maybe sedan).

Kinda thinking sporty but also have a little one I have to tote around as well!

Thanks

The 2006 Civic Si looks interesting, but anything else I'd recommend, you've already mentioned (Mustang, Accord).

It says in your sig that you ordered a Stang on 11/29 ??

edit: How about one of the turbo'd subarus ?? (for some reason I really like the Forester).

Accord sedan and coupe, mazda 6, TSX, Mustang GT would all be good choices. Just depends upon what you feel would be best suited for you and your son

you can get some sweet deals on 2004/2005 B6 A4 1.8T's now that the 2005.5 B7 A4 2.0's are arriving at dealers. My mom who lives in NC is tempted to buy one right now for less than $26K after I worked my bargaining skillz over the phone with her audi dealer (I say don't be fukkin wit my ma foo). And this is not a bare bones car but nicely optioned. I bet if you work it, you can grab one for around $25K depending on where you are.

Ahh ya'll gave me some good ideas in here....

I do like the GTO but not much on the body(also not much for sale around here). The 350z is nice but then the rear seat again comes into play.

A4 is nice but I just am not wanting a 4 banger again

So I am thinkin...
WRX
Accord Coupe
Mustang GT
Altima

Have to wait and see what will happen when they take a look at the RSX

The car came in and I saw it and everything BUT since me and the girlfriend(works at a dealership) are not married they would not honor A-plan. Those fuckers wanted retail PULS 2k mark up. I told them to stick it

I can tell you the 06 Civic Si(which is the new model) will have an Accord based block which produces 200 HP. I know this is a fact because my father works at Honda motor plant and he tells me all this stuff.
also on the horizon is a turbo Accord motor.(that's down the road he said and it isn't finalized) he said the 200 HP Si is.
They are kind of doing what Nissan does with the Sentra SE-R Spec V takes a Altima motor and cranks it up a little.

For close to 25k you could actually go with a used '04 TL. Pretty sporty and safe for your little one.

If you're not considering 4-bangers, why bother with the WRX?

the WRX has the power close to most V-6s 227 hp is about what most v-6s are turning out. yes the Accord turns out 240 hp but as far as motor i feel it's well matched.
one a high output 4 popper and the other (like the Accord)is just a normal V-TEC V-6.

WRX in my mind is not the same. Its a boxer so it actutally has tq. I HATE the fact I have to get high in the RPM's to get any movement out of my car.

Plus it has boost

But if boost makes a difference, why not consider the A4 with the boosted motor? I'm just trying to understand your criteria for cutoff.

Right, but he made an overarching statement saying he didn't want 4 cylinders, so I'm just trying to understand his criteria. And the WRX doesn't make its real power until boost hits, making it your typcial turbo motor and will never have the linear power delivery of a V6, which is what I'm assuming gdubb is looking for.

on your last statement. I would like to atleast have a V6, i just like the wrx though. I have test drove one and it didnt feel like a 4 banger, unlike the the inline4.

Then again I might just be making excuses to persuade myslef.

Stop the presses !!!!

Did your father also tell you that the TSX already has a Accord block that makes 200HP?

Here's one that's worth a shot:
Autotrader link He's asking $27950 obo. At that price it's still only about $60/mth more than $25000 over five years. What's $60/mth?

Throw a number the guy's way and see what happens.

You want the straight line speed of an Altima or Accord with the agility of a TSX, with 4 doors, a turbo, and good reliability. I say Subaru Legacy GT; PLENTY of power and it handles fairly nicely (much better than an Altima or Accord). It's also a hell of a lot faster than a TSX, and can easily beat an Accord or Altima to 60.

Yeah the TSX is beautiful, but alas no balls.

Legacy Gt is in the low 30's right, still kinda outta price range.

I am looking to get into a home soon and I dont want a huge note.
