Car got owned by the Construction workers

Every morning I would take Cottman ave to go to school and I would always see the construction workers fixing the road where the chevy dealership used to be.....at night when I'm coming home from school they would put these metal panels on the ground so the gap strip the dug up would be covered. Tonight it seems they forgot to put the metal panels and my carbon fiber lip went bye bye.

I went out 15 minutes ago to measure this gap on the road so i can take pictures and go to PennDOT tomorrow to complain....it's 58 1/2 inches wide 3 1/2 inches deep.

So awesome how my bumper is being pushed up a little when taking this pic

Unfortunately that is the price we must be ready to pay when we lower our cars.

Each state has their own laws about minimum ground clearance, bumper height, etc. Check it before you complain; otherwise all you will get from them is "too bad, your car is illegally lowered."

Still sucks, though. I've been there so I know you feel.

In the state of PA you drive on state roads at your own risk

Myself and others have had several incidents that caused damage to our cars, and some of the cars weren't even modified. The state pretty much says "oh well too bad"

Good luck

I feel our poor roads are due to the union that controls PennDot State workers know that they don't have to do anything and they will still make loads of money and have no risk of loosing their jobs. For example I know someone who was a flagman and would make 21-27 dollars per hour depending on the job This is for someone with no college degree and freakin turns a sign all day long. So of course they are going to make any job take longer then it should cause its padding their wallet

I almost hit that same ditch the other day... if it wasnt for the guy in front of me slamming on his brakes and me swerving to avoid him, I woulda have ended up just like you. Philly streets are the WORST!!!

What intersection is this? Cottman and ???

This is the sole reason I can't stomach getting a nice set of wheels....that and they will probably get stolen.
