He didn't say he was getting old....he said he was growing up. Big difference. My guess is that his priorities have started to change.

For those who "push" their cars through the twisties, try taking it to the tracks. Much safer.
Finally some words of wisdom!

I drove like a maniac with my 3G TL for 5 years always going much faster than the traffic on the freeway.

Now in my MS3 which is much much faster than my previous car, I cruise at 70.

But once in awhile I go to Angeles Crest Highway which is this crazy long canyon road here in LA, and I have some fun. The car handles pretty good and pushing the car through the endless corners in 3rd gear for about 30 minutes makes me high.
i find this to be true as well. I used to romp on my 2g TL daily until i got my swap, i never went over 105 in that thing and that was at the track.

The more power i have/ faster my car is, the less i want to put my foot in it... it's so odd

You are "growing up" (maturing). Going fast is reckless when you're young, and a calculated risk when you get older. However, it not only sounds like you no longer have the desire to drive fast, but you are beginning to see a car for it's most practical usage, alone. Sounds like you're losing your enthusiasm for cars. That is not "growing up". That is "loosing interest". That's not inherently a bad thing. I'm just making an observation.
