I did a search and didn't see any previous car book discussions so here goes...
What car books do you have in you library? Seen any that you want or would recommend? Any you got that turned out to suck? Blah blah....
And yes, I'm using this as an excuse to post my library which, for some reason, I decided to type up last night.
As for recommendations, I'll throw out most anything from David Bull Publishing (http://www.bullpublishing.com/). Their titles are usually quite pricey but the books are very high quality and just a pleasure to look at and flip through. I'm seriously have my eye on two of their upcoming titles: "Monocoques & Ground Effects" and "Shelby Cars in Detail."

Far too many to count, but sitting on my desk this very moment:
MGA Restoration Guide, Malcolm Green. Pretty much summed up by the title.
Datsun Fairlady Roadster to 280ZX, Brian Long. History of the Z car, from a European perspective.
The Cobra in the Barn, Tom Cotter. Great read documenting cars discovered in various locales in various states of repair.
Riding the World, Gregory Frazier. Documenting his travels around the world by motorcycle.
MGA: The Complete Story, David G. Styles. Documenting the MGA since it's inception.
The Hemi in the Barn, Tom Cotter. Similar to "The Cobra in the Barn". I didn't enjoy it as much as the first book.
McQueens Machines: The Cars and Bikes of an Hollywood Icon, Matt Stone. Enjoyed it more than I thought I would. Documents McQueen's cars and bikes, their histories, and their eventual whereabouts after his passing.
The Longest Ride, Emillo Scotto. An Argentinean who rides around the world on his Honda Goldwing. Alone and without support. None of that camera crew bullshit and returning home from time to time. A real world journey over several years with all the triumphs and hardships. A real adventurer.
Dream Garages, Kris Palmer. A good book documenting the garages of average collectors to well know enthusiast alike.
The Art of Racing in the Rain, Garth Stein. Not really a car book, but very enjoyable. A dog, on the eve of his death, recalls his life and the dream of his owner to become a race driver. Very touching, and a great read.
There are so many others sitting on my shelves, and soon I'll clear these off my desk and start a few more.

I only have one, and it's the history of Mercedes. Interesting enough, the book gets real boring as we near the modern age of Mercedes. The history of its foundation is far more interesting.
