Can i get a ticket for this???
Ok, so i was at a light and my friend was next to me, so we both floored it and went to about 50 mph in a 35, then slowed down to about 40-45. This dodge ram 1500 truck pulls behind my friend and starts tailgating him for a bit, then my friend changes lanes and the truck starts tailgating me. At the next light the truck switched lanes, gave me a dirty look, and turned. That's the last i saw of it. If he got both our plate numbers, and told the cops, could we get tickets? What if he was an off-duty officer? Am i screwed? I dunno if the laws are different about this in different areas of the country but if it helps, I'm in dallas texas. Opinions please!

You need to slow the fuck down and stop racing young grass hopper before you get yourself and your passengers killed.
When I was 17, all i had was a BMX and some shitty Mountain bike.
Just because i was doing 125mph @ 2am from Driving From Miami racing a 7Series BMW playing catch up does not give you a right to break the speed limit too you know
SLOW DOWN Or your Ass in Jail

i would just slice them (the wrists) and end it all, that way i would avoid all pain to my family and friends in case i wasn't a paranoid freak and that wreckless driving ticket did come through the mail.
no. you can't get a ticket for that...the potential for abuse of that would be unimaginable.
let's say i get pissed at a coworker for whatever reason. If you were able to get a ticket by just your "word", i'd be able to call the cops and report that a car with that license plate was swerving everywhere and ran a stop sign and almost killed a 5 year old and her mom.
so no, unless there was an accident and the car ran...but even in that case the cop would have to track down that plate and look for damages and whatnot, and eventually prove the owner was operating the vehicle at the time to give him a ticket.
