Call me crazy but,

I swear to god that I think the old mustang is better looking than the new one. I mean don't get me wrong, the new one gives me a hard on but the old one esp the Cobra's just look sooooo mean. What do you think?

My issue is that i cant tell the difference between the V6 and V8 models now.

But i did see a new stang with a saleen bodykit and it was yummy.
Cant wait to see what the new SVT will look like on the road.

Oh and no, I like the new styling better then again im like that with all new cars.

The good ole Fox body. Not very pretty, but they can be quick. I know someone with a '90 putting down 600 RWHP. It just spins through third.

The best series of Mustang IMO was 94-97 they. This would have been 2 generations ago. It was agressive and orgaina looking. The next generation in 98 was "okay" they didn't do much as far as body to make the a lot different than from the previous genration. then this year(05) they TOTALLY screwed it up IMO. #1. It's too old school for my taste
#2. the hood is too "stright and flat" the previous generation Mach 1 at least had a cowl induction.
#3. how boxy it is. a sports car isn't suppose to be boxy it's suppose to be sleek and aerodynamtic.

the new ones looked nice at first...but after seeing them everywhere on the road i think the design is lacking....especially the taillights

its all about the 89-92 5.0s....candy paint and sittin on chrome

I like the last body style as well. There's something about an '03/'04 Cobra that just makes me want to sell the TL-S and buy one with low mileage. I can't tell much of a difference between the '05 V6 and GT Mustang models, and that pisses me off because a GT should be distinct. Whereas the Roush and Saleen models have different taillights, making them look distinct, the GT doesn't really have that look.

I also like the late model Cobras, what are they '03-'04... quite mean.

i really dont like the look of the mustang right now.. i thought the last one was ok and it started growing on me til this one came out and killed it. the mustang image never really interested me. only because every 16 year old kid was driving one and doing stupid things with it.

the new ones just look ugly. trying to "modernize" an old car just wont due. bringing back styling cues is pretty lame. let the legendary players rest in peace and the new guys bring out the new flavor. if you have to rely on the old car looks to get some attention, then dont bother making cars at all.

why i got the Z? because of its modern sporty looks. not because they tried to bring the original Z back. they definitly brought back the true to the heart sports car, but at least came back with a brand new catchy design. sales woulda been a flop if they tried to modernize the beautiful old-school look of the legendary ZX.

I love 'em all... The notches were one of my favorites. I like the new one, but think that after seeing it in person a few times, ford could have done better on the front end. I actually like the Mustang GT front end better then the Mustang Cobra front end...

btw I am not too big a fan of the new Mustangs.... but that yellow one with the Saleen bodykit above... damn. I see traces of S7 in the lines... and that definitely ain't a bad influence. Great job on the styling of that kit.

influence is especially seen in the area surrounding the rear-quarter window and the rear decklid spoiler and fascia.

The Saleen's are starting to pop up, they look great in person...........the standard GT is not very exciting.

Especially being that there will be 9 million of them on the road within a year.

That said, the GT500 is going to be awesome.

I hate mustangs, but have liked the Saleen's (past and present), they just don't look so Mustang-ish I guess. I would have always taken a GM F-body over a mustang, because trim level for trim level, the Stock forms of the F bodies would whoop the comparable Mustang trim.

Just an Extra thought ^^

Beltfed - do you mean they are going to be making THIS straight from the factory????? GTFO... if they are gonna do that, I hope they smooth it out - because lots of stuff looks "stuck on". Once they do that, it'll look great. I would just be surprised to hear that because isn't this supposed to be the coveted custom "Eleanor" look?

damn... that is kinda crazy - and good for Ford cuz I think there'll be good demand for it, assuming it's not ridiculously expensive.

I'm just surprised because... well... I thought "Eleanor" was supposed to be a singular entity... but now we'll be seeing "Eleanors" driving around? I dunno..

Mustangs were awesome until the 70s when the gas crisis forced Ford into making an ecobox and passing it off as a "Mustang"...the 94 MY was a glance in the right direction and has been getting better ever since. The new style is the return of the legend that was the Mustang.

i like the mustangs from two generations ago... i wanna say 97-00 maybe... other than that... i'm not crazy about other body styles...

this new body style is slowly growing on me... the modded ones are appealing to me... especially after seeing this pic:
