Anyone know the story on CA Emissions overrides for the C6 Corvette. Does it decrease performance? Is it removable/modable? What the heck is it?

 

Isn't the California YF5 package just a pump that pumps warm air from the manifolds back into engine at startup? This helps heat the catalytic converters up faster and burns off hydrocarbons. I though is was something like that, so after startup the cars performance is like all the rest.
