the airconditioning on my 97 accord lx has a kind of old car smell to it now. It still works great though. What can i do to fix this, isn't it like the cabin airfilter or something? and how hard is this to replace? thanks

 

Sounds like mold in your system. I've never used it myself but try ozium. Other members have used it with positive results.

 

If the cabin filters haven't been changed, the that would probably help. I just did mine yesterday...

97= 5th Gen but yea i saw that and I am thinking of doing it. In the meantime I have taken some others advice and put lysol in the a/c intake thing to kill all the bacteria and put some baking soda in it 2. It has seemed to help but we will c how it goes. Thanks
