Best Motoring also got 10.8s in the 1/4 mile with the new 911 (non-s). Here is the video (the 1/4 mile part starts at 10:44 in the video):

Whats up with RDX owners?

To run a sub-12 second quarter mile in a stock street car is amazing. One that runs less then 11 while getting over 20mpgs is astounding.

The 911 Turbo has gone from "competitive" to "I will rape you, kill you, and rape you again" fast.

The 911 has always historically excelled at 0-60 times because of the weight of the engine on its rear axle (the outboard configuration)
The stock 4 speed 1980 911 Turbo with 300 HP run at about 4,6....
Overall I still do not like the 911, its utilitarian Mcpherson front suspension and the above mentioned outboard rear engine configuration.
The GT-R has a more balanced front-midship engine configuration and double wishbone front suspension...if the Germans mad the GT-R wound have cost north of 200K...is that simple....

Well I could try a PG version I guess
And as far as 911 vs. GT-R, I respect them both equally but frankly the GT-R is very heavy compared to the 911, is it not?

Same when I test drove the Bentley Continental Speed. I was like the captain of the Titanic navigating around my neighborhood but on the freeway, dizzam the W16 gets that barge up to speed in a hurry.

This man got 10.7 in an otherwise bone stock C6Z06 with drag radials the Goodyear F1 Supercars are kinda crappy anyway. And it can easily get 20+ MPG on the freeway.

He did get 11.2 on the stock tires... as mentioned, having the engine sit on the rear axle helps a LOT when it comes to traction.

Seriously, with the insane #'s these new Turbos are pushing, they are pretty much land-bound Saturn V's! Hopefully whatever occupation I go into will allow me to own one someday
