You went to an older car? What does the G have that the Accord didn't, besides more power.

I like the G more than accord. Nice pickup.

RWD, more power, luxury, 4 doors, more "adult", rare 6MT, I think it's a nice upgrade over accord

I would personally hate to upgrade to an older model, but congrats anyway! You will have much more fun with that G over Accord!

I prefer the Accord's interior over the G's, but it's hard to argue with RWD.

The G has such a terrible resale value that it actually makes sense to buy it used. I have tossed around trading in the RDX for a G coupe, but my heart must belong to Honda 'cause I keep looking at S2K's instead.

A good example:

2006 G35, <50k miles, <$20,000!!! Very tempting.

Yea, but the interior is horrible...not to mention the gas mileage.

Looks are subjective. My RDX has 17.8mpg on the MID right now. So anything is up^ from my perspective.

Well I picked this one up for 12,5 with 80k so it's pretty good and it has the 290 hp motor from the coupe and 350z in it idk about the weight ya I was getting tired of the fwd and motor mounts and the fact that my accord was auto killed it so the one year back wasn't really a big deal

Also this car has every option except navigation including the upgraded 18 inch wheels

I'm probably just going to lower it and upgrade the swaybars just like my accord unless you think my accord looks riced out and I just set the accord tips on it to see how it looked not sure yet

depends greatly on the car!

im currently selling my 03 accord and looking for an S2K.

if the S2k ends up being an 02 or even an 01, with less miles... its still an upgrade.

and then of course i'd buy a 93' NSX in a heartbeat if i could find one for around $20k... and still an upgrade, for more money, and possibly more miles..

^hehe, I agree. Driving the G daily, gets a little tiresome even with the 6mt and all. Wouldn't mine trading for a s2k, or even better...a pristine e46 M3.

But anyways, congrats to TS

I have had 2 G35 Coupe, 1 G37 Coupe, 2 s2000. still have 06 accord.

I agree G35 interior is plain, shifter vibrates, mpg sucks, but i would still pick a 06 G35C 6mt over anything that Honda/Acura offers today.

Um... someone tacked on the "S" emblem on your car...

That generation didn't come with a "S" badge. Did you tack it on yourself or it came with it?

I believe it comes with it. The G35 sedan was offered with a Sport Package that came with (as far as I know) stiffer suspension, and those 19" Rays wheels. Anyway, very nice pickup. I love those G35s. Wish my I30 had a fraction of its handling ability since it's a bit sloppy for (but maybe those worn Toyo tires are my problem, and my new Conti ExtremeContact DWS' will help me out)

Ya it has the sport suspension this one has the upgraded 18 inch wheels and it has the same motor as the coupe some sedans you can get away with running 87 octane but since this has the coupe motor you must run premium

G35S Sedan was not introduced until 2007 with the new body style, 2008 for the coupe. You could get the sport package but it was not an "S"

and ALL G35 share the same engine. Coupe has slightly more HP due to exhaust design and some other marketing BS. 91 is recommended for all G35 and G37.

Retrofit projector headlight should be your 1st mod. The stock HID are horrible, worse than halogen.

Congrats

My dad has a 05 G35x and while the power and sound is intoxicating, the gas mileage is terrible and the interior

My gas mileage in my '10 G37S is maybe 1-2mpg off in the city from what I was averaging in my '06 TL

Fuel economy in either car just isn't great in strictly street driving.\

Anyway, congrats on the car! I'd take that "S" off the back. A G of that vintage didn't have the "S" badge.
