Buying a car out of state?
Has anyone gone out of state to purchase a used car before? The reason I ask this is because I'm having a hard time finding a car I like at a price that I can afford to pay. I know that I would probably fly out there to see the car, and hopefully drive back, but I was looking for some insight from members that have gone this route.
BTW, I would probably be doing this for either an Accord v6 6spd, IS300 5spd, or GS400. Opinions? My budget is around 18-20k

if you buy it from a dealer, they'll give you a temporary transport plate (cardboard). If you buy it private, when you can get a transport plate when you transfer it if you're in that state.
Then with the transport plate, you go to your state and then register it and get real plates.

You can buy a car anywhere in the country, as long as you tell them where you're going to be registering the car, they can figure what the taxes are for your city/state and you're good to go. I do deals for customers all over the country, it never was a problem..
