This is the budget I am working with..whats the car for me?
I am looking to lease a car for 3 yrs. I drive about 20-25K miles a year.
Budget is ~$1200-1300/month.
So far I've only looked at the BMW 750i. I am considering the Jaguar XJ but I'm a little scared of that one since it's a first year model.
Things I need:
1. Something reliable.
2. Somewhat of a chick magnet car.
Any suggestions are most welcome.
Thanks!

If you're going to drive that many miles, I wonder how that affects your ability to lease a car like the 750i.
I don't know if BMW is interested in trying to off-load a 3-yr old car with 75k miles on it?
That said, a 750i would be in your price range at 10k miles/yr.
Good luck with your hunt and keep us up to date!

Dealer had no E60 M5s left. M5 has always been my first love. He told me the new body style isn't due out until 2013. (550 HP!)
When the time comes I'm going to trade in my other car for that bad boy.
But I do need something in the interim.

I commend you for having that much disposable income at 29...
I dunno about the reliable part that much. Everybody wants a reliable car, but if it's on lease do you really care?
That being said, do you like any particular body style? I'd look at the new A8 if you're into that bodystyle, or even a mildly used Maser QP, but the reliability thing kinda goes out the window.
What about something like a GTR? Or a 911 if you're into that?
Don't forget to factor insurance in this too.

JD Power (for what that's worth) says that the 7-Series is the least reliable "large premium car" they have figures on ... The most reliable? The Cadillac DTS
In the mid-size premium car segment the A6 was tops. Which makes me wonder if maybe a S6 isn't a bad choice

Weren't you the guy with the new 550i? I remember your poll about a vanity license plate...
Is this in addition to your 550i or a replacement?
FWIW, if you drive that many miles in a year, I'd go with something smaller/cheaper and invest in property. Leasing at that price point with those many miles doesn't make sense IMO

And who says he can't do both?

I am looking to lease a car for 3 yrs. I drive about 20-25K miles a year.
Budget is ~$1200-1300/month.
So far I've only looked at the BMW 750i. I am considering the Jaguar XJ but I'm a little scared of that one since it's a first year model.
Things I need:
1. Something reliable.
2. Somewhat of a chick magnet car.
Any suggestions are most welcome.
Thanks!

I'm surprised nobody asked this:
What about a down payment? What's your budget? With these cars it can go up to almost $10K.

Yep. It seems we're getting more and more of these "S4 vs. M3, which should I choose?" type threads. I would recommend to the OP to go on the respective boards of those models and ask "if you had to do it over again..." and see what current owners say.
Is there much value in a "I have $1200/mo to spend on an expensive-ass car" discussion on an Acura board? "Hi Mr. Salesman, I'd like to check out your 2010 750i 'cuz the boys on Acurazine said it's a better pick than the A8..."
Please don't take this as hating, I had an E46 3 and loved it, it's just you gotta ask what's the end goal of this thread?

Others' opinion never hurts. Best part is that on an Acura forum you'll have relatively objective and unbiased, if less experienced, opinions.

You do understand the whole point of a lease right?
Be my guest and piss your money down the drain paying the depreciation on a lease for that many miles, pointless and retarded.
And chick magnet? If you need a car to pick up women then maybe your best bet is to buy a Honda Civic and use all that extra money you have on hookers...

The 550 is a good car when compared to the 750i. If it was a 750Li, I'd say go for it!
If you want something rarer, and if you can afford it, check and see if you can lease a Alpina B7!
By the way, before you do get the 750 or so, check out the F01/02 forum on Bimmerfest.com for some lease info and stuff and deals/options.
