BP isn't a Top Tier Gas, but Chevron is.

Chevron in my neck of the woods adds "up to 10% ethanol". Do you consider it to be a good choice and does ethanol have and effect on the performance of the car?

BP was Amoco. Amoco Ultimate was the best high octane around IMO. I think everyone is just pissed at BP so everything about them automatically sucks now

No need to blame individually operated BP stations, the only person you're hurting is the operator of the station. We don't have BP stations here in Canada (AFAIK) but this whole situation would not make me boycot them.

I can't comment on the quality of their gas so I'll just leave my opinion at that.

sure it will hurt bp. its unfortunate for the gas station owners, but they could switch to another brand. This is the ultimate right of the consumer to penalize the corporation.

Most stations are under contract, so that just screws the business owners and they cant do a damn thing about it.

Wholeheartedly agree, especially when I read things like this:

http://www.cnn.com/2010/US/06/08/oil...gns/index.html

My last gallon of BP gasoline was definitely that; my last.

Yea, actually you are hurting the gas station owners. Not BP. Also You better stop driving on asphalt roads, cause odds are their oil is in them, the plastic you use, yep in them. Also when you fill up at other stations. Guess what. Odds are you are using BP's oil. Once at it leaves the refinery (where they all get mixed together) its up to the individual brands to add their own additives. You arent hurting them one bit
