BMW x5 4.6is SUV... 0-60 in 6.2

PRICE: $69,025

ENGINE: 4.6-liter V8, 340 hp, 350 lb-ft

CURB WEIGHT: 4824 lbs

DRIVETRAIN: awd, five-speed automatic

BMW X5 4.6is
It was only a matter of time before BMW found a way to charge $70,000 for its SUV. For the price, most of the X5's utility has been extracted and BMW has replaced it with an incredible dose of sport. Whoever needs 0 to 60 mph in 6.2 seconds from a 5000-pound SUV gets it here. Then again, nothing so big should be able to accelerate with such haste and we can't think of anybody who would need it to... except those stuck behind most SUVs. In any case, the brakes are big enough to stop a train, so pile in and plug away. The lack of hooks, loops or holes in the decklid and lateral supports on the roof make strapping in or on difficult. And before trouncing this through snow, pull off the factory-issued 20-inch performance tires and replace them with a set of all-weather 18-inchers. Still, no one can fault BMW when it comes to executing a performance SUV with gusto.

342 HP $66,565.00

you would not believe how close these vehicles stack up against each other, they are almost identical between performance, options, standard eq and safety features, the ML55 edges it out in safety features though - i was going to copy and paste the side by side comparison from mb retail training website, but its filled with frames and tables, and it will take forever to straighten it out in word line by line

plus it has BI-Xenon Lights
