I was hoping for more torque in that motor. The 335 puts out more torque!

Wow, those tuned equal length headers are impressive. I dnt think the aftermarket will even bother touching headers. That exhast looks heavy though. But the car is gonna be sick.

Turbos will do that fer ya.

On a side note, the M5 V10 that the M3's motor derives from is no torque monster either (relatively speaking). Still, neither car is slow...

I think most would forget about the 5lb of torque the second they swing past 5k rpms and the power is still buiding...then 6k and still building.... and so on.

We'll have to see how the gearing of the transmission is but in all likelihood with all the top end power gearing will be quite a bit shorter than that in the 335. That would mean more effective torque at the wheels even if torque at the crank is a few percent off.

Don't worry about it. They will probably train you or give you instructions for it. It's crazy how modern engines are like computers on wheels...Even makes me wonder why people pop their hood when they can't really change things ...yes that is art

I'm sure they'll have some bad ass underhood thermal management. Those headers are gorgeous, they look like an expensive piece of aftermarket equipment, maybe even coated pipes under the shields (any heat extractors on visible this thing?) I would say that the aftermarket will probably play around with longer primaries, but given the small displacement of the engine those might be an ideal length.

I'm OK with a lack of torque on an engine that sings through ITBs when it gets revved to eight grand, especially if the new SMG is geared short to get the wheel torque up out back.
