Wow...

First thing that comes to mind is girl in teens or 20s whose parents bought her it and was distracted on her cellphone and hit the gas instead of brakes, freaks out, says 'omg omg omg what do i do' and drives off.

X5 continues to impress!

Well if this doesn't seal the deal for Statler getting the X5...I dunno what will.

Here's another article that explains how they caught her:

She was identified when an Extreme Fitness staff member, whose own car had been crushed in the Oct. 22 incident, spotted a similar-looking SUV in the parking lot again Wednesday morning and called police.

Update. Great job by Hyundai. One of the victims car was crushed in the accident, which was paid off last month and Hyundai Canada stepped up and gave him a brand new car.... Great publicity..

I'll tell ya, Hyundai has my respect now as a car manufacturer. When we start shopping for another car, Hyundai will be at the top.

I don't thinking crowding a jail is going to help her become a better driver.

props to hyundai for stepping up! I do agree that honda/acura nor any other manufacturer would have thought of giving a new car to a person if such a thing happened.

Are you guys sure it was Hyundai corporate that gave him the car? Or was it just a particular dealership?
