BMW 335xi Coupe

I was browsing bmw's website and saw that there is a 335xi Coupe i had no idea this car existed. with all the hype over the 335i coupe, i can't believe i never heard/read anything about the all wheel drive version! why is that?

It didn't come out all that long ago, maybe a month or two tops.

I just saw an Alpine white/red 335xi coupe the other day...was nice.

Costs a couple K more than the RWD model, I would consider it if getting a 335.

If i wanted AWD then i would have a tough time between the 335xi and the S5.

I actually think the S5 is even lighter than the 335xi.

I didn't look to get actual comparo on $$$ but a base S5 starts around 11K more than what the 335 base wld be doesn't it?

EDIT: just looked, 335xi base-42,600

S5 base-50,500. That's too much of a difference to me to cross-shop it. Besides, the Audi dealer in town (1 and only) is a complete tool. I have a good friend who is this guy's cousin and he won't even buy a car from him.

Cant really compare base prices since the S5 has a lot of stuff standard that the 335 doesnt.

By the time you get the 335xi coupe with the same options, it will be closer to $50k

Price both out and you will see.

what do you guys think of bmw's awd system (x-drive)? i wonder if the awd components will hold up to the kind of power this car puts out.. especially after mods.

i think a vishnu stage 2 upgrade is a turboback exhaust + tune, and people are at about 390whp!

That's impressive, I bet with the AWD and that tune you'll pull incredibly hard out of the hole

Well, if one is leasing you can get a nice 335Xi coupe for 24 months in the $650/month territory.....an S5 would run about $900-$1k/month under the same terms.

I think most would prefer the S5 as well, but leasing one for now and buying one new (Audi typical abysmal resale) is not really the smartest thing to do. Well, unless you just don't care.

And honestly, most Audi dealers kind of blow.

Oh 100% agreed with leasing the 335xi.

I had good experiences with the Audi dealer though then again my buddy was the audi tech.

I did not know it existed neither, although all of the other N54 applications have an AWD variant. Looks like the E92 335xi beat Infiniti to the G37X punch.

I like BMW more and more everyday. It seems like they are covering every conceivable angle in the upscale vehicle segment. The only thing they are missing is a full sized 7 pax SUV (a la Escalade).
