Bmw 335???

Bmw 335???

I heard BMW is going to be making a 335..basicly a straight 6, twin turboed.. anybody else hear/read anything?

I've heard about it. something about it bridging the gap between the 330 and new M3 and will be comparable in performance to the current M3. didn't hear about the TT inline 6 though. Might be pretty sick. If the new M3 starts at 50-55K. This might start around 43-45K, not bad if its a monster like it sounds like its gonna be.

The tuners will be all over the 335i when it hits the market. Anything that comes pre-turbo'd gets them drooling.

The twin turbos setup is pretty interesting and complicated though. One turbo has a fast spool so it's quick off the line, the second turbo takes over at higher revs where the first turbo runs out of steam.

I have no doubts that there will be tuned 335's making more power than the new M3.

Engine configuration has nothing to do with how many turbos you can fit (well it does with regards to space in the enginge bay).

And I kinda doubt we will see this for awhile. Especially since it wouldn't come out till after the M3 and I could see the base models getting turbo'd before making a performance turbo since they are the most lacking for power.
