Depends... If it's a hatchback or a coupe... and how it's priced. We all know that a coupe would fair much better than a hatchback (even if it's the 3 door hatch recently released in the ROW)...

I'd love to have a 120i coupe Light, rwd, 4cly (so it'll be fuel efficient, and cheap (just like me), but it looks like i'll have to settle for a 130i...

I want a loaded one under $40k. These loaded 335i around $50k and more are getting too expensive for me.

If a 135i (coupe) makes it to the US market I will immediately drop/get rid of whatever car I own for one.

1series = yes coming here sometime in late 07-early 08. M1 = yes its coming here, TT1, no. But yes the 1series will be very successful here; it will be much cheaper than the 3series. most of my customers drive a bmw just becasue of the name...bmw. I had a lady come in last Tuesday with an E46 323, carpet/manual seats, 5spdMT...and the best part...a carmax sticker on the back; and yes she was a bitch (just becasue SHE owns a BMW, and made it very clear to me, even though we're a bmw dealership that she had brought her vehicle to...)

I think....

"Derek D." should wear something nicer than a hoodie to host a show, even if it's just a show on the internet

Im pretty sure they wont call it the M1 and lastest i heard they were going to put the 335i engine into the 1series and label it as an M-car.

No way they would shoot themselves and call it the M1. IMO

The M2 name had been thrown around before, but they won't reuse the M1 name unless it's a very special supercar... Just my guess...

Link ?? There's a 1 series with the M sport package in Europe, New Zealand, etc, but it doesn't have an ///M badge on it... so technically it's not a Mcar.

edit: Jesal, I think your "Fake M1" thread is confusing people

The classic M1 looks like this:

Here's a 116 with the optional m sport package (not to be confused with the full on ///M version)....

"Includes M Aerodynamic Package, M sport suspension, M leather steering wheel, M door sill finishers, M light alloy wheels Double spoke 207 M with 7J x 17 205/50 front tyres and 7.5J x 17 225/45 R17 rear tyres, sport seats, Anthracite roof lining, interior trim in Aluminium Glacier Silver and shadowline for exterior windows and Boston leather upholstery."

So the m sports package is really just a trim package (like acura's A spec) with no hp increase for the motor.

I'd love to own a 120i (4cly) with the sport package, but I'd settle for a 130i sport. The way things are going it looks like I'll probably be driving a 1 series coupe before acura comes out with a coupe of it's own.
