I'm sure this is making it's way around the internet. I just saw this on another car forum and thought I'd post.

NWS if saying fuck or shit offends you.

It sounds like this guy increased the boost on a stock motor for over 600 HP and got owned.

If this is a repost then

woopsie.

I remember some RSX that got owned even worse. I couldn't find the thread but I doubt the pics would have worked anyway. One of the pics was a guy actually holding a smoldered up piston head that looked like a potato.

its still pretty impressive that the engine could take that much stock, or i guess it couldn't, but it could get close

I remember the RSX thread. Similar pictures of melted car parts in the hand and oil slick behind car.

Hmmm.. 600hp on an unmodded, all aluminum motor that came out of the factory rated at 320 (well really it came out dynoing at about 310, but the recall which added extrude-honing to the intake changed that). So, you're saying that doubling the horsepower wouldn't stress just about any other engine out there, save one with an iron block or forged internals... I'm not sure I'm following your reasoning.

What part of it being IRONIC don't you get? It is a Ford and it is dead on the side of a road. That is all.

Well, I'll spell it out for you since my subtle references weren't apparent. The Cobra that blew up in that video is a 1999 Cobra, not an 03. Regardless of what you may think about Fords, or whether or not your opinion is justified (or even supportable by personal evidence), if you take any unmodded engine, especially one that's aluminum, doesn't have forged internals, and is already running 10+:1 compression from the factory, and you double the horsepower, you're likely to see that result. I don't care who makes the engine, whether it's Honda, Nissan, Ford, Chevrolet, or Toyota (and don't point to the Supra as an example, that has an iron block). The fact that it's a Ford and it died is largely irrelevant. That's as bad as someone on the Mustang board claiming that Acuras suck because they have a history of automatic transmission failures . Go ahead and turbo that Honda motor of yours and drive around at 442whp, then race a bunch of people at WOT and see how long it lasts.

The 2003 Cobras are more than capable of 600hp without blowing up... There are countless examples out there. Be sure to watch one as the taillights get smaller in front of you. That is all.

^^^

You are too comical... it is amusing to watch you get your panties in a wad about a remark I made. All that I meant was that I thought it was funny since there is an acronym about that particular make of vehicle sitting dead on the side of the road. If the Mustang board made up an acronym about Acuras and their automatic transmission failures and they had a video supporting that acronym I would expect them to see the irony in it also. I am not bashing Fords, nor am I saying that my stock Honda motor could handle doubling its horpepower. All I am saying is

THERE IS A FORD FOUND DEAD ON THE SIDE OF A ROAD. HAHAHAHAHA, just like that funny acronym. (anyone see the irony in that, maybe I have been smelling too much jet fuel)
