Looks like that RWD and all those extra ponies don't seem to help the 350Z much...

That can't be right. The 540 at least handles better and is faster in the straight line.

No, these are just track times with different drivers and skill levels.

the thing with this you gotta remember the driver's ability. you can put a F1 driver in a Ford Fiesta against a a kid who just got his driver's lisence in a M5 on a course and the Ford Fiesta might win. not due to being a better car. cause I'd be first to admit the M5 not only fast but a better built car. driver's talent has just as much importance as the car and motor setup.

 

The Ford Fiesta thing might be stretching it, but you point is very valid.
