Behold! the powah of the nissan 4cyl turbo SR20det engine!!
Not bad for 10 year old stock block engine eh?
1/13/03 - The race car preliminary hit the XS dyno today. Car made 239rwhp @ 0.6bar of boost pressure. Upon further tweakings and couple more runs, the car generated 302rwhp @ 0.8bar of boost pressure. At this point we will need to do more changes to the car and change out the wastegate spring to a more stiffer spring, and will go back to the dyno for 18-25psi tuning on race gas to see how far the stock motor setup will go!
5/2/03 - It's been awhile without any updates, got the car shortly back on the dyno today, @ 14psi the car generated 345rwhp! More to come after we fix MOOOOOOORE problems...life just can't go on without problems, but that is fine because one won't learn if there's no problems. Right now we are getting serious to have the car finished by Summer of 2003, with race wheel setup, new paint job and body kit, and have custom chromoly roll cage fabricated before shake down run.
5/12/03 - Did some clean up and tricks to the car to clean up the air flow and ignition curve, hit back the dyno today again @ 14psi pump gas generated 350rwhp!! Next is 18psi run..we'll see how long the stock motor can last.
UPDATE** 1.3 bar generated 388rwhp on pump gas (91 octane!)- overall air/fuel ratio 11.0:1. Slightly leaner ratio with higher boost level, push beyond 400rwhp on stock motor is within reach. (FYI: The motor that's in the car right now is no different than the average SR20DET frontclip everyone gets, this proves the SR20 is a very capable motor. However, since this car will probably not see public road, we still recommend keeping the HP tame for reliablity reasons).
5/15/03 - Fixed the misfire problem, mix in some 104 high octane race gas, turn the boost up to 20-21psi generated 422rwhp! ** UPDATE *** 25psi generated 474rwhp!!

Now see, thats the kinda car you get if wanna go fast. Cl is for cruisin. You can get that car for cheap and give it ~ 325rwhp and rice it out and nothin will touch it. That car only weighs like 2800lbs stock. Imagine lighter seats, a/c gone, carbon fiber hood, lighter rims. You could probably get that car down to 2600lbs and have 325rwhp pretty easy (too fast). I wish I had money for a beater car, I'd make it into a racer.
