I was expecting the rear tire to be a little wider than it is?

seems like it would be difficult to get any traction back there especially with how little weight is over top of that wheel...

Actually, without the modifications, my next door neighbor owned on of those when I was a little kid! It was so freaky to see him enter through the front of the car.

And on snowy days, he would drive the damn thing down our street, only a two lane road, and intentionally spin the thing!
