Autospies.com

What does everyone on here think of Autospies?

I get their weekly newsletter and it seems that within the last year or so, it's been going in a downward spiral. Their website is littered with advertisements, their information they have been presenting recently is far less reliable, and seems to be just weak overall.

I'm extremely disappointed, and have yet to be surprised or excited about any new "intel" that they post. Their information is interesting at best, but nothing ground breaking anymore.

What happened?

They've never really been that good at providing predictions. Usually they just take a while guess and if they get lucky, they claim it. They are good for finding deals on some more expensive cars.

IMO, it's a misnomer. There is nothing spy about autospies, they take press releases/brochures, put their waterstamps on it, and then take credit for it. And some of the so called "stories" are nothing but disguised ads.

They even stole photoshops from forums like this and claimed it their own.
The only thing they're good for is finding the stuff on the Internet so you don't have to.

What irritates me now, too, is the stupid blog so all of the readers can totally rip apart new designs. It seems that whenever someone blogs over there that it's negative...I see no point in the blog on that website...it's rediculous

I can't remember a time when autospies was ever anything but a thief of other peoples 'finds', with the autospies watermark attached. I'm sure that has a lot to do with their members sending in pics they find from other forums.

Just goes to show, if acura tsx has an exclusive, put "A-tsx" across the pic so it can't be stollen.

That reminds me. I just saw on "thecarconnection", they did give credit to a-tsx for spy pics on 2004 Acura TL. Thats what I like.

The Car Connection has to be one of my all time favorite car sites. I check it every day...and LOVE the weekly spy photos.

I go there for humor. Before the TL came out they posted info that came from our Justin. They didn't say where it came from.

I forgot their latest. the Pic on the new LS. I've never seen that one but they do pride themselves in predicting what the next S-Class will look like.

And they still haven't posted info on the new Civic. Temple of VTEC has been all over that one with some info.

Not to change the subject but if the new Si is all that it is rummored to be, I wonder of the fate of our beloved RSX?
