Word...they look like those old school mercedes OEM wheels with a deep lip...

I remember talking to this guy with a VIP car at a car show and he was the most stuck up prick i've ever seen in my life...going ON and ON about his car....Whats the point, if a Maybach or Phantom pull up next to you, they'll probably just laugh at the fact that you consider a toyota dropped on rims VIP

Am I missing something? What is the point of putting tires that obviously don't fit properly on rims? Is this a new fad or something?

I dont like the VIP style, but I can see why people like them. VIP is a lifestyle. The white GS is very hot!

So what else do people do @ car show? I'm sure if a Maybach or Phantom pull next to your car, they'll probably laugh to. Your point is? The hater convention is next door, why dont you see yourself out.

Well, that's some really expensive and stupid camber on all those cars- I'd hate to drive one commuting or on a track.

^^adjustable height air suspension. Even on an old 94 Accord.... air ride makes it ride smoother than a 3G TL. I don't think its possible to drive around like that, or at least not a very good idea

you can clearly see that only few were riding on bags, but rest is definitely running some negative cambers to make them flushed. They probably go through tires like no others.

I liked the JDM Fuga/M35. The others....meh. To each, his own, though!

Except my car isn't undriveably low with poking wheels, super stretched tires that are probably thinner than the factory specs, and a bunch of stick on luxury parts from DAD I also don't label my car "VIP". All those cars look the result of what happens when you leave a nice M45 parked in east LA.

Don't get me wrong, I like the cars...I just hate the things some people do to look "cool"....I have nothing special on my car. I changed the suspension on my car to improve the handling, while it visually looks better to me. Heck I don't think anyone would ever say they don't like the way my car looks at that ride height. The edge of the tire is about flush to the opening of the wheel well, leaving very little gap. It's definately more pleasing to look at (compared to stock), and the fact that the springs I chose are only 20% stiffer than stock, the ride isn't completely destroyed, and overall handles a bit better than OEM when combined with the other suspension modifications I did as well (sways, etc..).

IMO THAT'S the right way to fix your suspension. I may have chose the cheapest way out but doing springs as opposed to coilovers and the thousands of dollars worth of additional crap you can do, I don't plan to race my car or run it to the extreme in handling, plus I use it every day on some pretty rough roads. It's good enough for me!

Why would we do that when we don't care about something so ridiculous in the first place?

You post stuff like this and then get bent when we think it's a pointless endeavor?

WTF is VIP about it anyway?

VIP to me is James Bond in a DBS in Monte Carlo. Not some Datsun slammed with big wheels on it in La Jolla.

This VIP is the equivalent to those who think it's cool to be in the VIP section of the nightclubs...IMO

Needs a better name, because its style all its own.

Trust me pal, I'm not bent. You want to know what VIP style is do some research.

Hint: Its not a James Bond fantasy.
