Smile Autocar's "Most Beautiful Car" game...

Won't take long...!

My winner, of course, was the Aston Martin V8 Vantage...which happens to ONLY be third overall.

And yes, behind the Porsche Carrera GT (shutup, nokiaman).

Post your results! Game here: http://mostbeautiful.autocar.co.uk/

I kinda annoyed that the BMW M1 was not on the list...and yeah, how the fawk did the 350Z get on there?

Where in the world is the McLaren F1...? Ferrari 360 Modena...?

Ah well...still, worth a play.

I'm on nokiaman's side on this one. To ease your pain Yum, the Vantage honestly was my 2nd.

I want my 3 minutes back! None of my top choices (Miura, Ferrari 250, Dino, etc.) made the top 7, all of which are cars made within the decade.

my final 2 were:
Jag XF (which is my favorite mid size lux. sedan out there)
vs
Maserati Gran Turismo.

I give respect to the old school cars but i like the new school cars.

Just occurred to me that if the Wiesmann GT was an option, it would've been reaaaaaally tough pick between that and the Aston.

Yeah, I know.

Ferrari 288 GTO v Aston Martin Vantage in the final.

Chose the 288 GTO but it was a tough choice. Believe it or not I'd rather own a Vantage but I think the 288 is a better looking car.

The 288 is better looking, and I'd rather have it over any current Astro Marteeni.

Yummy's not on, is he?

I think owning a car is a different story. Modern cars will always be more reliable, faster, and probably be more fun to drive. If I had to choose one to own, I probably would've gone modern...........

....although the 300SL would be hard to pass up

I'm going to have to disagree with this statement. When you are talking exotics or certain makers...maybe yes.

But old bimmers, mercedes, etc will run just as well today as they did they day they rolled off the line if they were maintained. Cars today just arent made the way they were back then.

I had Carrera GT vs Jag XF in finals...
of course I chose GT

I think had the pic of the Jag E-type been a vert, it would have been in the top 2 for me.

It has become my favorite classic car

Interesting how the older designs got no respect.

The vintage Alfa 8c, Gullwing, Cord and Miura gathered most of my attention. Although my age might have something to do with it they were, sans Miura all produced before I was born.

I just don't see the point in owning a million dollar, irreplaceable Ferrari because if you drive it and wreck it there's no way to fix it.

That's why I would rather own the Vantage. Yeah it's expensive at $120k but if I wreck it the automotive world isn't going to lament the loss
