I want this job. Autocar tested the new GT-R vs the E92 M3 vs the Porsche GT3. The test is pretty unbiased. The GT-R and GT3 trounce the M3. The Nissan pulls quicker track times, got to 60mph and 100mph a full second ahead of the Porsche. But some good points were brought up. The GT3 is just more visceral, it’s a challenge, whereas with the GT-R it’s consistent reliable performance that any old person could get into and make fast.

My favorite quote was: “What we are saying is that a car that is made by a company that used to be called Datsun is as good as the best 911 Porsche ever made.”

Nice! Good find. Surprised the M3's brakes were so spent after two laps though.

^ yep.

Some people are arguing that this was an unfair match up since it was cold out and the RWD cars didnt have tires that were sticky enough.

Regardless, the GTR is impressive.

Great videos, but it's annoying how hes describing how he drives.

lol BMW should spend more money on brakes..it's pretty scary to have no brakes when you try to slow down for the next hairpin...

I would take the GT-R given that it was red, otherwise give me the GT3

With better conditions and better tires, I'm sure the GT3 would have taken it. M3 just doesn't have the stopping ability after a few laps...

Seems like there was some time left in the GT3. 3 tenths isn't a large enough time to definitively tell which car is faster.

I really, really like the GT-R...but it falls just short of the GT3.

That said, you couldn't go wrong with either car.

Hmm, the results seem reasonable as GT-R has also beaten the GT3 at Tsukuba.

LOL. It's like you have to really be creative to find something negative to say.
