I thought the end was pretty funny but the whole situation is not a laughing matter. maybe its from all the violence i've seen on TV that got me so desensitized. I'm sure this is gonna cause a lot of debate.

They will obviously get a lot of heat for this...

....which is exactly why they did it.

Interesting ad. Like Audi or not, it's an ad that you don't soon forget. Nor the "Clean Diesel Technology". On those fronts, the ad arguably did it's job.

Pretty good ad and it will def. get them more media coverage. Remember when Abercrombie made thongs for kids and had a T that read "two wongs dont make a white?" Marketing genious

Controversial? Yes.....

But what it does not show is the dude getting some guns and going postal on the people that made him want to do this..... Oh, for our Canadian friends

Wow, totally missed that one. There's a lot of room for inappropriate jokes on this. Better left alone.

Lol, creative at least. But damn that guy must have been one patient dude! 17 gallon tank, idling at maybe .8 liters per hour... over 3 days in that garage and still alive!

Reminds me of the SAAB Turbo 900 in the late '80's or '90s-- when tested in Denver, IIRC, the exhaust coming out of the tailpipe was cleaner than the outside air being sucked into the engine.

Terry
true, my ex-client owns an ad agency, and he always told me that... positive or negative... if people are talking about the product, they've done their job.

I hate to admit it, but I was ROFL'ing at the end of the ad. That was another subtle safety point at the end--the windows don't close completely if there is something in the way.

The ad made its point.
