Audi question

What up, I was thinking about jumping into an audi 2003/4 a4 1.8T, any suggestions, or anything to watch out for? Or could you possibly point me in the right direction to an audi forum.

Does anyone know if they have any common major issues, i.e. turbo/tranny/etc

Thanks

the1.8 is a dud 170hp, the 3.0 is much smoother. historicly Audi has had a lot of electrical problems.

If you don't need an AWD car then it's probably not worth the penalty of extra weight and drive train losses.

Unless you chip the 1.8T it is sluggish especially coming from a CLS.

I'd get a chipped S60R!!!

same engine as the Jetta 1.8T

Should be not bad with gas. Lease one no proble, own one and gain some headaches (yes electrical shyte).

I totally agree on the chip, i test drove the 1.8T and got beat off the line by a mini van, very sluggish imho.

They had issues with their coilpacks in the 2002 models but no 2003 or 04 have mentioned it since audi changed the design on it.

Other than that no other major issues i have seen.

forum sucks but theres decent info there

I loved the S60 T5 when I was looking for a new car, cost was the biggest problem at the time.

You won't impress a girl unless she is 70 and likes young safe drivers...
