Audi Advice

I wrecked my 01 CL and I am in the market for a new car. I have been checking out the 2002 Audi A4. Love the car but every salesmen other than the Audi one has told me to stay away from Audis because of expensive repair, and unreliable. What you guys think?

I am also looking at the A4. I've heard some really bad stories about Audis, but then again, not like I have had any better luck with my acura it seems.

how many similar thread are we gonna have about german reliablity.

But ill be honest, most of the stories i hear about issues with the b6 A4 is from the 2002 model year. First year of the b6, i wouldnt recommand it. But then again there are people who have with no issues. Its a hit or miss i guess.

But audi certified program is one of the best out there so im told. Try to get one with that and you should be good.

I have an 02 A4 1.8T. The issues I have had so far were minor. First the ignition coils kept going bad. This issue was fixed and haven't had any problems with them since. The only other issue that is kind of annoying is the AM signal isn't picked up to well in the car. There is a sports station (610 WIP) that sometimes comes in and sometimes doesn't.

It is a great (but underpowered) car otherwise. If you can get an 03' or 04' A4 3.0, I would. That's the only real complaint I have with the car is it is just way to underpowered.

And duh, you expect a salesman to recommend another brand?
