Audi A6
my co-worker has a 2000 2.7T
In the past 8 months he has owned the car, he has spent nearly $2500 in repairs.
His electrical systems is going crazy right now. Everytime he locks the car, the window would roll down 20 minutes later. He's had snow in his car three times already. Audi doesn't know what's wrong w/ it...
I've heard electrical problems have plagued the car...but now I know first hand.

My best friend has a 2001 A6 2.7T.
I personally think it's a very nice car. Pretty good power, but it does suffer from some turbo lag on the highway. Modding possibilities are very good in that it has the 2.7T engine which is the same engine in the old S4. A $600 chip will give you close to 80 extra hp (maybe even more).
We drove from NYC to Detroit in the A6 in January. Very comfortable, Quattro for the snow, and a great interior.
Problems are that it handles like a boat, the stock tires are crap and it has some reliability issues. Nothing major happened to his car other than a few minor electrical issues.
He just sold his A6 to get a 350Z (wanted something more sporty), for approx $30k. You can probably pick one up for around that.

funny thing was he had literally 3000 miles before warranty expired. Everything fell apart right after that.
head lights fogged, then came loose, electrical problems here and there, mirror broke off...etc

Also, Audis may not be as reliable as Honda's or Toy. But they are more fun to drive. They may have problems they may not. There are many with 150k+ without problems and some who were just lemons. It happens.

My best friend has a 2001 A6 2.7T and has had no problems with it. The car has a very solid feel to it, just like most other German cars do. The interior has no rattles and the layout is beautiful. For AWD the car isn't that quick off the line, since I can beat him easily, but once on the highway it moves.
