I was in Myrtle Beach this weekend and saw a big ass group of all yellow mustangs. Old ones to current ones WTF Anyone know about this and why? I didnt see the point because all 15 to 20 mustangs were yellow and they all seem to look alike.

i just got back,and was going to google. But i couldnt wait to tell you guys. This is hilarious. Dont get me wrong, i like the 2011 mustangs but all yellow is crazy.

 

i guess nobody finds this strange. what if we only had meets for only white tls or NBP tls. It just looked really funny to me seeing all that yellow. Oh well.

 

I own one, and even I find it a bit weird to have a 1 colour Mustang club. Maybe when there's so many of them around, you have to do everything possible to differentiate yourself from all of the other owners.

I know when Mustang guys get together around here, on a good night, they'll fill up 3 or 4 parking lots...

A group of yellow TLs would give me a laugh. I think just 1 or 2 would do the trick.

Actually, I wouldn't mind owning a yellow '69-70 Boss 302, yellow '69-'73 Mach 1 with black striping, or yellow '71 Boss 351.

I always enjoy the irony of people trying to make their mass produced car look differently from the next guy's mass produced car.

I guess that's why Pep Boys and AutoZone are in business.

I dunno, maybe because not many vehicles are offered in yellow and there are enough of these guys to form a registry and plan a meet. I'd like to but I know we're a buncha nut cases on here that if there were enough Acuras in Mayan Bronze (one of my fav colors), for example, I'd may even meet up ... and I don't even own one ... yet

Doesnt surprise me to see a one car color club. On local car forums you see meets that try to exclude others so that the ppl that go or are involved can feel more special about themselves like they are unique. Like " 90's rwd japanese cars under 2500 lb only" meets etc.

 

ya know, its not all about looks.
they could be talking about lots of different things other than looks.
Also, there's a little bit of comradery in having the same car, same color.
Why do we have special color clubs on acurazine? and we do have it...."join the SSM club" etc.

my point is that it feels good to be in a group, whether it be an All car club or a specific color club. Each one of those yellow mustangs feels that they bring something to the table. At the end of the day, they're all human beings and want to feel appreciated, and gawked and geeked at. Just like you and I.

 

I belive this past week was mustang week in Mrytle Beach. This is a huge event that draws mustang clubs from all over. I use to own a mustang and went every year.

I started a Silver car club in my own driveway... V.W., Honda, and Acura... they all are pretty dam close in color... lol
