I am in the market for factory wheels for my 2011 535i Xdrive... I have been through the forums and contacting dealers trying to see who has a decent discount on the wheels..I came across "Replace" wheels on CarId when you click on the factory wheel link...

I called they claim they are factory OEM and not replica..They say they are OEM wheels that have been damaged and refurbished..

Has anyone purchased those wheels from them or know of someone that has and what was the experience ?? Are they actually refurbished wheels or replica?????

 

I never bought from CarID but just be careful of the finish that was used when they were refurbished for the upkeep. I bought refurb Infiniti I35 wheels when I had my I30 and the clear finish started flaking off. Not sure if it was from the self car wash's wheel cleaner or the Meguiars I used. You could also look on car-part.com which searches "junkyards" and there's a possibility a wrecked car was brought there but the wheels were still good and haven't been redone.
