It is a website that is like consumer reports. It identifies bad companies and whatnot. sold me a car with a broken 6 disk stock head unit and said they would send me a brand new one. instead after 4 months of dealing with them they sent me 2 jammed used ones and refuse to do anymore about it. they also owe me shipping costs as well

I can't tell if this is a serious question or just his way of spamming our site
Either way, I've never heard of it either.

I rely on RipoffReport for sites I don't know anything about. It's a good resource.

go ahead and write them up on ripoffreport.com
if it's the truth then you have nothing to be ashamed of. they(the company) should make reasonable efforts to make you happy unless they put "AS IS" on it.
if they said everything fine and the car in okay or great condition then write them up man.

I read your other thread and saw you say you bought the car sight unseen and then noticed the damage after you bought it. Is that the case? Just trying to figure out what exactly happened.

I will say if the car did not have a warranty & had an "as is" sticker or disclaimer, & you didn't get anything in writing from the dealer about what they "said" they would do, your SOL. Buying beware.

I never heard of that site before

was told prior to buying car that it was n need of a new stereo. dealer said they would take care of it before i got there. got there and they didnt have it in yet. told me they would send it to me as soon as it came in.

did not buy car until i saw it. all i meant by sight-un-seen was that i did all the financing before i got there. absolutely no money was exchanged til i saw the car.

Used car buying can be a tricky thing if your not experienced . I read your story in the Cl forum and you said that you bought the car sight unseen. Personally I would never buy a car sight unseen because there's too much room for error. Like Fuzzy02CLS said if you didn't get those promises in writing then your at the dealerships mercy because salespeople will tell you almost anything when they are trying to sell you something so if its not in writing then its just hearsay there is nothing to enforce the promises. Ripoffreport.com is a good resource but I don't necessarily think I would rule a dealership/company out over just one person's experience now if there are several people complaining about the same dealership then I would take that to heart.

I bought the car with a verbal agreement that it would be replaced. If they failed to meet that agreement i would have made their life miserable, which i did for the 4 months it took to get it replaced. A verbal agreement and a hand shake go a long way with me. I have never been screwed before. If i had this on paper they would have given me the same grief.

But you would have had better legal standing.

If it's not written down, it doesn't really exist. Verbal contracts are much harder to substantiate and enforce than written ones.

ALWAYS get it in writting.

So verbal agreement and handshake go well with you....that's great, but what about the guy that is shaking your hand?

my buddy is a used car dealer. i know they are all sharks just out to make a quick buck. these people were just plain chodes. i called everyday and they acted like they didnt remember me callin the day before. this was my first car bought over 5 g's and i should have taken more time. but there just arent too many cls6's around these parts. there were only like 2 that i could find in new england and i have wanted this car for the longest.

So let me get this straight: You purchased a car online sight unseen, had a problem with the radio, they said they would fix it, it took them a little time, but it's now fixed and you're as happy as a pig in shit but you still want to rag on them?
